My work means I am sitting at a desk all day. Twisting to the side and arched over the keyboard. Lower back pain was something I had lived with for a while, until a friend suggested I try a massage. WOW - I was amazed at the result. The back pain eased immediately and I even felt an inner calmness. I now understand why I need to move about more and not sit fixed in one place for too long. Regular exercise is helping too. I keep up with regular massages anyway, they are sooooo good.
Running regularly, my muscles were tight. I was getting pains and like most runners, just kept running through them! Following a massage with Elaine, not only was she able to release my tense muscles, but was able to explain why they had gotten so tense, even releasing held emotions within the tissues. Fascinating. I feel much more relaxed and in even better shape than before.
My neck and shoulders were tense and I suffered regular headaches. I'd get these shooting pains in my neck and find myself having to wear a scarf to help keep my neck warm and to help ease the pain. Following a back, shoulder and neck massage these symptoms eased and following advice given, I followed up with another appointment. My muscles had had time to heal and relax, and the second session proved much deeper and was able to release all that pent up emotion and anxiety stored in my neck and shoulder muscles. Free of neck pain and feeling much looser around my shoulders, the headaches have stopped. Now aware of how I can feel, I keep in regular check with myself and make a point of having a massage - even if just to relax. Fantastic.
